Q4 2020 Interactive Story Games Surge in Latin America

Latin America's mobile game enthusiasts have shown a remarkable engagement with interactive story games in the fourth quarter of 2020. Data provided by Sensor Tower showcases the performance of the top five applications in this category.
Chapters: Interactive Stories, published by Crazy Maple Studio, Inc., saw its weekly revenue peak at nearly $79K in the last week of December, marking an upward trend from around $62K at the beginning of the quarter. Downloads, however, decreased from around 200K to 143K by the end of December. The weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, dropping from 660K to 586K in the same period.
Episode - Choose Your Story by Episode Interactive experienced a rise in revenue from about $16K to over $23K throughout the quarter. Downloads showed a significant dip from 1M in late September to just under 458K by the end of December, while the active users fluctuated, ending at around 1.2M after an initial peak of 1.9M.
HIGGS TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED's Romance Fate: Story Games also saw revenue growth, starting at approximately $5K and rising to $11K. The game's downloads showed an overall decline from 66K to 19K, and weekly active users decreased from 88K to around 48K.

Finally, Love Sick: Stories & Choices by SWAG MASHA displayed a revenue increase from $6.5K to $13K. The downloads spiked dramatically to 131K at the end of December from an initial 27K. Weekly active users doubled, going from 131K to 188K during the quarter.
